June 4, 1750 - To be sold to the highest bidder on the 3rd day of July next, in Charles-Town,  a parcel of Indian dressed deer skins and some beaver skins.  Also, the same day, at the Congarees, 14 head of pack horses and mares with their tackling, belonging to the estate of John Gunrod late Indian trader to the Cherokees, for ready money.

February 24, 1757 - Jewellers and Goldsmiths work made, mended, and sold by William Goudey, at Capt. Robert (?) Raddeley's next door to Mr. Elija Poinsett's: Ladies and gentlemen who please to employ him, may depend on his utmost endeavours to oblige them, by completing their work to their satisfaction.

September 29. 1757 - South Carolina. Whereas Maurice Callaghan, of the said Province, hath exhibited his petition to the Chief Justice and Assistant Justices of the Court of the Common Pleas, setting forth, that he is in Custody of the Provost-Marshal of this Providence, upon a Capias ad Respondendum, at the Suit of Robert Gouedy, Indian-Trader, for a debt to him justly due; and that he is ready and willing to make Surrender, upon Oath, to any One or more of his Creditors, in Trust for the Rest, all and singular his Estate, both real and personal, a List or Schedule whereof is annexed to his said Petition; and praying to be admitted to the Benefit of the Acts of the General Assembly of this Province, made for the Relief of Insolvent Debtors:  It is therefore ordered, that the said Robert Gouedy, and all others to whom the said Petitioner is any Ways indebted, be, and they are hereby summoned, and have Notice to appear, at the usual Place of Judicature in Charles-Town, at the Meeting of the Court of Common Pleas which shall happen next after Thirty Days from the Publication hereof, to show Cause, if any they have, why the said Petitioner should not have the Prayer of his Petition granted.

December 8, 1759 - To be sold at public vendue, at the usual place in Charles-Town, for ready money, on Thursday the 20th December next; All the estate of Elizabeth Ross, widow, deceased, consisting of four young slaves, two wenches, and two boys, and some old household goods: The property not to be alter'd till the money is paid -- All persons that have demands against the said estate, are desired to bring in their accounts properly attested by that time to William Gowdey and Lucina Gowdey, Admin.

February 23, 1760 - Run away from the subscriber the 9th instant, a negro wench named Bess, formerly in the possession  of Mrs. Susannah Barlow, deceased, had on when she went away, a blue negro cloth coat and jacket.  Whoever apprehends the said negro, and delivers her to me, shall receive 20 Shillings(?) reward. But whoever harbours, employs or conceals the said wench, may depend on being prosecuted according to ? and any person giving information of her being harboured, shall on conviction of the offender, receive 10 Shillings(?) reward. William Gowdey.
N.R. As she was bred in Charles-Town and always lived in it, she is supposed to be harboured in or about it.

January 7, 1764 - Run away the 2nd of December,  a sturdy negro wench named Molly, has a scar or bump upon her upper lip, somewhat blue eyes, speaks very thick but fluently; had on a white negro cloth jacket and coast, shoes and stockings, and has taken a blanket with her.  Whoever apprehends the said wench, and delivers her to me or to the warden of the work-house, shall receive Fifty Shillings and whoever will give information of her being harboured or employed, so that the offender may be brought to justice, shall receive Ten Pounds rewards: And as I have reason to think, the will not scruple to disguise herself as a man, in order to get on board some vessel; all matters of ourward ? vessels, as well as coasters (?), are hereby cautioned against receiving said wench on board their vessels, on any pretence whatsoever. April 27, 1765 - Robert Goudy, of Ninety-Six, advises me of two horses delivered him as strays, a bay gelding, about 14 hands high, supposed 10 years old, branded on the near buttock 3 B (?), and one white horse about thirteen and an half hands high, supposed 13 years old, branded on the near buttock W F, in one.  The property to said horses, must be proved before.

April 27, 1765 - Has imported in the Two Friends, Captain Ball, from London, a neat assortment of jewellery an silver work, consisting of a variety of paste, mock garnets and other necklaces and earrings in setts, gold earrings set with three drops, single drops and without drops, gold earwire diamond and common stone finger rings, fine Mocoa, pebble and other stone sleeve buttons in gold, silver, knee and stock buckles, bosom hearts.........(the advertisement lists a variety of other items).
